I should note here that I played all of these calls using the first and second valves of the B-flat trumpet.
If you are using a boy scout or US Army regulation bugle (in "G"), you will be in the correct key to match the recording. Conversely, if you use the B-flat trumpet, the first and second valves should (must) be used at all times. These tools certainly should be in the possession of every "Boy Scout Bugler".
